We joined Washington Women Outdoors for this hike. We met the group in the parking lot of Gathland State park and then shuttled people to the Weverton parking lot.
We started climbing towards the Weverton Cliffs and we were drenched in sweat within 10 minutes because of the heat and humidity. We were the two shortest people on the hike so we ended up at the end of the pack with the sweep named Amy (who was also short).
The group took a break at Weverton Cliffs and took some pictures. We then proceeded to the Ed Garvey shelter where we had lunch.

We also hiked this section with our co-workers and met a 2003 thru-hiker named Walkabout at the Ed Garvey shelter. Dirigo's co-worker named Rob and his family joined us along with Python's co-worker the Crazy Birdman from Fairfax.
