We hiked this section on October 3, 2007.
Dirigo, Python, and Smores hiked the southern most section of the AT in SNP. Since we only had one car, we split this hike into 2 days and did 2 out-and-back hikes. We spent the night at the Quality Inn in Waynesboro.
Every time we went to ascend, Smores would look up and say "Oh Crap." After awhile we would say it for him. The first day we hiked out to the second barrier fence and back.
Day 2 we went over a stile and ascended. The ascent was hard on Smores but he was a trooper and handled it. We hiked to the barrier fence and back.
