We hiked this section on September 16, 2006.
We stopped to take pictures at the Ensign Phillip Cowall Memorial Shelter. This shelter is very close to the trail head and we saw a menu for a local pizza shop.

During the hike we entered a farm field with young steer. There was absolutely no fence between us and the baby steer! The black and white steer was very interested in us and he walked in for a closer look.

Little Antietam Creek
As we were loading up our gear into the truck at the end of our hike @ Raven Rock Hollow Rd, 3 southbound thru-hikers appeared through woods: Bluebird, Buster, and Brotherbird. We offered them all a cold Coke and a Snickers bar, our first success at Trail Magic!
