We hiked this section on April 28, 2007.
It was a beautiful day on the trail. We crossed a fire road and took a break at Mobsy Campsite and checked out the spring.
We hiked past an old shelter and hoped that it was not the current shelter since it had fallen down. We came to the Jim and Molley Denton Shelter and there was a shower.
It was pretty cool looking. I bet the water was cold, but it would get the grime off. We had lunch at the shelter and headed out.
We crossed over a stile and went into an open field near an orchard. We passed a sign that gave the history of the Mosby Confederacy and then crossed the railroad tracks and then went over Goose Creek.
There were some skulls (three) in a tree. Kind of freaky.
